It has become normal these days to receive personal communication. Everything is tailored to the person. You only see ads that are only relevant to you. What is a segment?

Before we go any further, it is important to know what we mean by a segment. In e-mail marketing, segmenting means splitting up your target groups on common characteristics. Think geographical characteristics or certain interests. By segmenting, you can send much more targeted messages to your target audience and thus increase the chances of conversion.

How does hyperpersonalisation work with Reloadify?

With Reloadify's new feature, you no longer need to create separate newsletters or triggers for each individual segment. It is now possible to create one e-mail and send it to all segments at the same time. This does not come at the expense of personalization, as you can tailor the content to each specific group within the email. This way, every recipient will receive the same e-mail, but with content specifically relevant to them.

By designating the right segments in the dynamic rows, you already create separate content for these segments. You can then use this content in the body of the mail. This works the same as if you were to do this in a separate newsletter.

How do you use hyperpersonalisation?

Create a newsletter and when designing the e-mail, under 'row conditions' you can choose 'segments'. Under segments, we load in all the segments you have ever created. By then placing these in the mail, you create rows for specific target groups. For each segment, you can now create a row. And that's how you get super personal.

Note: If you haven't created segments yet, you need to do so first by going to 'Profiles' and then 'Segments' in Reloadify.

This way, you create rows for specific target groups.

How do you use hyperpersonalisation?

Imagine this. You create one newsletter, but want to show a specific row per segment. We would like to show you some examples where you want to use specific rows in your e-mail:

  • A row specifically for men and a row specifically for women.
  • A row specifically for customers who bought brand X, they get an extra discount
  • A row specifically for customers who bought brand X, they get to see brand Y
  • Customers who like dogs are shown dog items, customers who like cats are shown cat items
  • Customers who have never bought anything before get a discount code, customers who have bought before do not
  • Set up an A/B test with specific rows in variant A and not in variant B
  • One row specifically for VIP customers who have bought a lot
  • A specific row for customers who did not buy a lot
  • A row specifically for women who bought product X in the last 7 days
  • A queue specifically for customers with an abandoned shopping cart with a value higher than €100 (with a discount code in it)
  • A queue specifically for customers with an abandoned shopping cart with a value lower than €100

In this way, there are endless possibilities to personalise your newsletter based on purchase behaviour, demographics and more.

What are the advantages of one e-mail for all your segments?

One big advantage of this feature is that it saves a lot of time. You now only have to compose and send one e-mail instead of several separate newsletters. In addition, all recipients do get the same e-mail, which creates unity in your branding and does not overload them with too many messages. Last but not least, the consequence of a personalised e-mail lies in the higher conversion rate of your campaign. It is possible for anyone to deploy a newsletter to all your target audiences without complicated code. Simply by creating a segment and using it in your queue.
