Properties of rows
Over the years, we made quite a few changes. This caused row properties to become quite long with many 'more options'. Therefore, we have grouped row properties into categories for a better overview. The interface of our email editor will look more like the interface of landing pages.
Left the old email editor, right the new interface:
Backgrounds: contains all background settings;
Borders: contains all border settings;
Layout: with all alignment settings and mobile settings;
Dynamic content: where you can select their display conditions;
Column structure: with column layout and styling settings.
Because these categories are collapsible, there is more overview in the e-mail editor at a glance.
Mobile view
We also slightly changed the option to customize the mobile view. You can now turn 'stacking on mobile view' on or off yourself. In addition, you can choose how the stacking order will look with buttons. See below what the old situation was and how it will be.
Why did we change this?
The biggest reason for changing the interface of our email editor is usability. We have now reorganized and grouped all the elements. This provides more overview. We have also ensured that there are fewer 'more options' in the navigation.
These changes will go live for everyone in mid-September. It will take some getting used to. But we are sure these changes will provide more overview when you are creating an e-mail.
